Aaron Streets talks about the power of diversity in scientific research

Bioengineering Professor Aaron Streets talk about the importance of diversity in scientific research and the need for scientists to represent the full diversity of human genetic variation. Aaron Streets emphasizes that scientific research can be limited in addressing the broad range of public needs if scientists only come from a narrow range of genotypes. Streets believes in the importance of funding to support diversity initiatives in STEM and has been promoting diversity in STEM through initiatives such as the Next Generation Faculty Symposium and the Bioengineering Scholars Program.
