Haiyan Huang and Ph.D. student publish a new paper on synthetic polymers replacing the body’s natural proteins

Statistics Chair Haiyan Huang and Ph.D. student Shuni Li have contributed to an article recently published in the journal Nature titled “Population-based heteropolymer design to mimic protein mixtures.” The published paper discusses the possibility of synthetic polymers replacing the body’s natural proteins and the deep learning technique that was used where the natural proteins were broken down into amino acid segments.
