Adam Arkin: Advancing Microbiome-Based Strategies to Suppress Antibiotic-Resistant Lung Pathogens

Adam Arkin, Professsor of Bioengineering , is leading a multidisciplinary research team looking at new ways to fight deadly lung infections without using antibiotics.  As part of the three-year project funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Arkin's lab have engineered colonies of good bacteria that can be inhaled to crowd out pathogenic bacteria and combat lung infections.
