Jules Perez reports on Genomic Insights into India’s Population History and Global Health Equity

August 5, 2025

Jules Perez, a CCB graduate student in the Moisés Expósito-Alonso lab, reports on research led by Priya Moorjani’s lab, which analyzed 2,762 Indian genomes to uncover India’s complex genetic history. The study - the largest and most complete to date - helps to untangle these groups' complex evolutionary history and highlights the need for more diverse genomic datasets to improve both historical understanding and global health outcomes.
