Moisés Expósito-Alonso awarded Genetics Society of America Early Career Medal

The Genetics Society of America awarded Moisés Expósito-Alonso the 2026 Early Career Medal. He was recognized for his research on evolutionary adaptation, including how genomes respond to climate change and how genetic diversity shifts over time.  The award also recognizes Moisés’s leadership of an international outdoor Arabidopsis experimental evolution project and his commitment to mentorship of students as well as his science communication work in international biological conservation forums.

Nominated by their peers and selected by the GSA Board of Directors, the 2026 recipients are recognized for a wide range of impactful achievements, including scientific discovery, mentorship, the creation of community resources, and education.
