Gonzalo Benegas, Computational Biology PhD student, and advisor Yun S Song, Professor of Computer Science and Statistics, recently published a research article regarding their findings while analyzing alternative splicing across numerous diverse cell types of mice from two large-scale single-cell datasets-the Tabula Muris and BRAIN Initiative Cell Census Network. The team made their study data — as well as the source code for a custom predictive model that they built from their studies — publicly available in hopes of spurring further exploration of the topic in the computational biology community.
