Jingshen Wang, Associate Professor of Biostatistics at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health, has been named a 2026 Thelma and Marvin Zelen Emerging Woman Leader in Data Science by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. The annual award honors early-career women for exceptional contributions to data science. Wang was recognized for her work in developing robust and trustworthy statistical methods in causal inference, heterogeneous treatment effect estimation, and semiparametric modeling.
