Liana Lareau

Assistant Professor of Bioengineering

Email: lareau@berkeley.edu

Lab Webpage

CCB Students: Carlos Fernando Buen Abad Najar, Amanda Mok

Research interests:
The Lareau lab’s research uses computational methods and high-throughput experiments to understand how post-transcriptional processes lead to robust and flexible control of gene expression. Their goal is to understand how layers of regulation are encoded in gene sequences and how disruptions to this regulation can cause disease. They use machine learning and other computational methods, coupled with high-throughput experiments, to understand how post-transcriptional regulation leads to robust and flexible control of gene expression.
